When You Wish Upon A Star
When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission, to grant the Wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness. The charity was founded by Barbara White OBE who was so inspired by a seriously ill four-year-old with a dream to meet Mickey Mouse that she wanted to bring smiles to the faces of many more brave and courageous children. Since 1990 Wish has granted over 18,000 wishes across the UK.
At Prestbury Travel we take immense pride in our close collaboration with When You Wish Upon A Star and are privileged to have helped create dream holidays for many inspirational children and their families.
Mission Christmas
Mission Christmas is an initiative which ensures that underprivileged children receive gifts and joy during the holiday season. As well as the Prestbury team donating presents, we provide a drop-off and collection point for the local community.
Prize Giving
When possible, we support charities by providing star prizes that are auctioned at gala dinners. Throughout the years, we're delighted that these prizes, which include luxury holidays to the Caribbean and Europe, have raised thousands of pounds for various charities.
Office Fun
At our Macmillan Coffee Mornings, we all baked cakes for staff and customers to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, which offers vital assistance to individuals and families affected by cancer.
At our office Pink Days, in aid of Breast Cancer Care Awareness, we organised special days dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support.
Comic Relief Red Nose Day, is a light-hearted but impactful event aimed at alleviating poverty and supporting communities in need.
Manchester Race for Life
At the Manchester Race for Life, we raised funds for two charities close to our hearts at Prestbury, these are Cancer Research and Sands, which both support vital research and help families affected by cancer and stillbirth.
