COVID-19

The COVID-19 Pandemic has placed us in a position where we need to make decisions in order to put the safety of our clients and staff as our highest priority.

With this in mind we have come to the decision that it has become essential to temporarily close the doors to our retail branches and ensure the well being of our staff and clients.

In line with government advice on social distancing we have closed our doors to limit the amount of contact our staff and clients are exposed to. Our team are still available to answer your questions by email and can be reached by emailing enquiry@prestburytravel.co.uk.

We will be contacting clients who currently have bookings and may be affected. We are working through these bookings in date order and will be in touch shortly.

We thank you for your understanding in us having to take such precautions. We hope you and your family stay well and look forward to seeing you all when we re-open the doors to our branches.

Best Wishes

          Zermatt

High on any skier's Top 10 list of world ski resorts

Use the drop-down menu below to explore Zermatt.

Zermatt is one of the world’s top ski resorts and includes the iconic Matterhorn. Boasting a huge ski area at a high-altitude and offering breathtaking views of Europe’s most famous peak, Zermatt is an unbeatable resort for skiers. The ski slopes are accessed from the village centre in either direction via cable car, funicular or the famous Gornergrat mountain railway which takes you on a spectacular ride up to 3089m and rewards you with fantastic views of the Gorner glacier. The final stage of the cable car takes skiers to the “Matterhorn Glacier Paradise” which is in fact, the Klein Matterhorn or “Little Matterhorn”, the highest glacier in Europe! From the top, you can choose to ski over to Zermatt’s Italian neighbour, Cervinia for the day on the whole area lift pass or choose to take on the challenge of the Matterhorn Ski Safari, where you can cover 10,000 – 12,000m of altitude without skiing the same slope or taking the same lift twice!

The charming village is traffic-free with only electric carts and horse-drawn carriages allowed and the quaint little streets offer a mix of cosy bars, elegant boutiques and mouth-watering chocolate shops. Zermatt is known for its excellent and plentiful mountain restaurants such as Chez Vrony in the Sunnegga area and for its lively après-ski and nightlife.
