Use the drop-down menu below to explore Kalymnos.

The stunning Greek island of Kalymnos sits quietly only a short ferry ride from the island of Kos. This hidden gem is the ideal escape for true Grecophiles who appreciate real Greece with it's warm hospitality, traditions and abundance of Greek charm.

The bustling port of Pothia bursts with life and is the ideal place to sit in a waterfront cafe, with a coffee and Greek pastry and watch the world go by. On the west side of the island are the wonderful resorts of Massouri, Myrties, Armeos and Kantouni. Breathtaking views across to the tiny island of Telendos won't fail to impress whilst sandy coves and turquoise crystal clear waters await. Only ten minutes by water-taxi from Myrties, Telendos is a wonderful place to discover. Peaceful and quaint with not a road or car on the island, you can enjoy it's beaches, stunning sunsets and waterside tavernas. Once the island of the sponge Kalymnos is now more popular for it's impressive rock climbing and is a Greek gem just waiting to be discovered. For anyone who enjoys a spot of island hopping then the nearby islands of Pserimos and Leros make the ideal day out.

July is the hottest month in Kalymnos with an average temperature of 27°C (81°F) and the coldest is January at 11°C (52°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 10 in August. The wettest month is December with an average of 146.9mm of rain.
