Weather
The United States is home to a wide variety of climates. In general, it has a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers. There are, of course, some exceptions: on the west coast the climate is cool and damp in the northern areas, yet warmer in the southern areas; on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, the climate is mild in winter and hot in summer; in Florida, the weather is almost tropical; the deserts are mild in winter and extremely hot in summer.

You can fly direct to the USA from London from several regional UK Airports. Flying time varies, but flight times to the East Coast (New York) are approximately 8 hours and to the West Coast (San Francisco) is approximately 11 hours with Florida being 9 hours.
