COVID-19

The COVID-19 Pandemic has placed us in a position where we need to make decisions in order to put the safety of our clients and staff as our highest priority.

With this in mind we have come to the decision that it has become essential to temporarily close the doors to our retail branches and ensure the well being of our staff and clients.

In line with government advice on social distancing we have closed our doors to limit the amount of contact our staff and clients are exposed to. Our team are still available to answer your questions by email and can be reached by emailing enquiry@prestburytravel.co.uk.

We will be contacting clients who currently have bookings and may be affected. We are working through these bookings in date order and will be in touch shortly.

We thank you for your understanding in us having to take such precautions. We hope you and your family stay well and look forward to seeing you all when we re-open the doors to our branches.

Best Wishes
From all at Prestbury Travel

          Hvar Island

Use the drop-down menu below to explore Hvar Island.

Queen of the Dalmatian Islands, beautiful Hvar, is favoured by wealthy Croatians and discerning Italians whose luxury yachts anchor off the coast during the summer months. It’s a 105 minute ferry journey from Split to the main port of Stari Grad, which set around a bay, is the oldest settlement on the island and a charming little town with a host of restaurants, bars and shops. The delightful Hvar Town is the real star of the island.

Set amidst olive trees, vineyards, rosemary and wild lavender, there are palaces and churches and, lined with delightful cafés, restaurants and bars, the Riva, the central thoroughfare, leads from the picturesque harbour to 16th century St Stephen’s Cathedral which dominates the main square, and up to the Fortica Fortress.

There is access to the sea from rocky shores or bathing platforms in the town, or for a day on a secluded pebble beach the nearby, pretty pine covered islands of Pakleni Otoci can easily be reached by regular taxi boats from the town harbour.
