Mexico is a fascinating country steeped in ancient history. Both captivating and flamboyant, Mexico offers scenery of contrasting diversity from its ancient ruins and verdant jungle to the pearlescent beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. A country that is the home of tequila and ceviche, the genuine hospitality of the Mexican people will endear you forever.

Our two featured destinations include the Riviera Maya, south of Cancun in the Yucatan Peninsula, and Los Cabos on the southern tip of Baja California.

Stretching from Cancun to Tulum, the Rivera Maya offers spectacular beaches and ancient wonders side by side. Highlights include the archaeological sites at Chichen Itza and Tulum, fascinating cultural visits with Tulum being the only known archaeological site of its kind, located right by the sea. Xcaret is an ecological attraction for the whole family to spend the day learning about the area’s ecology and Mayan history combined with relaxing on the beach, floating down subterranean rivers, swimming with the dolphins and wandering around jungle trails.

In contrast to the cultural side of Mexico are the bars, restaurants and designer shops of the vibrant Playa del Carmen, easily accessible from the luxury hotels on the Riveira Maya. The island of Cozumel offers one of the top ten dive sites in the world with a fabulous barrier reef whilst in and around the Riviera Maya there is a huge range of sporting activities available, ranging from golf and horse riding to more exhilarating zip lines, cenote diving and deep sea fishing.

Los Cabos is a 20 mile glorious stretch of coast that lies between the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo on the southern end of Baja California. The region offers a mix of spectacular beaches, desert scenery and championship golf courses – six within 20 miles. The sea around Los Cabos is teeming with wildlife, with the meeting of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, it is home to the blue, black and striped Marlin, tuna and wahoo with various fishing tournaments through the year. Stay in Los Cabos between late December and March and you may well experience the annual whale migrations as gray whales and their young migrate to warmer waters to the South.

The weather varies greatly around different parts of Mexico and with nearly 1,500 miles between the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean coast and Los Cabos on the Pacific coast you might expect some differences. The temperatures don’t vary greatly between the two destinations however the Riviera Maya is prone to higher levels of humidity during summer months between June to September. Temperatures in the summer have been recorded as high as 32 degrees in the Riviera Maya and 34 degrees in Los Cabos.

The Riviera Maya and Los Cabos are both extremely romantic destinations, perfect for weddings, honeymoons and anniversary celebrations.

Hold your wedding on a perfect white sand beach, with floral arches and the acquamarine Caribbean Sea in the background; have a romantic candlelit dinner for two with a desert backdrop and the stars above or simply relax in each others arms on a hammock with a bottle of champagne chilling nearby - the possibilities are endless.

There are direct flights to Cancun, for the Riviera Maya, with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick. There are also good indirect connections to Cancun via Miami. Charter flights from Manchester Airport and Gatwick Airport are also available.

Flights to San Jose del Cabo, for the Los Cabos region, will always have connecting flights, although these can be very straightforward through Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston with major scheduled airlines including British Airways.

We can arrange your flights as part of your holiday. We have excellent fares with all major Airlines in all cabins.
