Weather
New York is host to a wide range of weather conditions that showcase all four seasons throughout the year. Summer months can be notoriously hot with temperatures soaring to highs of 29 celsius. Spring and Autumn brings the pink blossom and the colourful autumnal foliage, whilst the long winter months experience much colder conditions with temperatures dropping to -4 celsius and substantial amounts of snowfall.

Within the city there are over 12,000 yellow cabs and a subway system that operates 24/7 allowing, you to discover New York both by day and night with relative ease. However, for many, experiencing this energetic city by foot is by far the most straight forward and least stressful approach.
The city of New York can be accessed by three airports. John F Kennedy airport (JFK) is located in Queens (at the south end of the Van Wyck Expressway) and primarily handles international flights. LaGuardia airport (LGA), also in Queens, on the Grand Central Parkway, mainly handles domestic flights. Newark airport (EWR) is located in Newark, New Jersey and handles both domestic and international flights. It’s a little further out from the city than the other two airports, but it is generally less crowded and has more modern facilities.
