With over 30 breathtaking beaches, world-class cuisine, and an inviting, low-key atmosphere, Anguilla is the perfect destination for those seeking an escape from the ordinary. Anguilla is ideal for couples in search of romance, families wanting a safe and uncrowded getaway, and luxury seekers looking for exclusive villas, boutique resorts, and five-star service without the flash. This is a destination for travellers who appreciate authenticity, beauty, and the finer things in life—without the crowds.

Events & Festivals

  • Anguilla Summer Festival (Late July – Early August)

This is Anguilla’s biggest and most celebrated annual event—a Carnival-style festival that brings the island to life with colourful parades, pageants, street dancing, beach parties, and boat races. The Summer Festival coincides with Emancipation Day (celebrated on the first Monday in August), and the celebrations span over 10 days.

    Key features include:

    • Jouvert Morning Parade: A pre-dawn street party filled with music, paint, and dancing.

    • Miss Anguilla Pageant: A traditional and glamorous island contest.

    • Boat Races: Known as Anguilla’s national sport, traditional boat racing is a major part of the festival and draws huge local crowds.

    • Calypso Monarch & Soca Competitions: Celebrating local music and talent.

  • Moonsplash Music Festival (March)

Held at the iconic Dune Preserve Beach Bar, founded by reggae legend Bankie Banx, Moonsplash is a laid-back music festival that attracts international and regional artists. The stage is set right on the beach at Rendezvous Bay, and the atmosphere is unforgettable—think cool reggae vibes under a full moon, bonfires, and barefoot dancing in the sand.

  • Anguilla Culinary Experience (May)

A newer but fast-growing food festival that celebrates the island’s incredible dining scene. Visitors can enjoy chef tastings, gourmet dinners, beach BBQs, and cooking demos featuring top local and international chefs. A must for foodies!

  • Anguilla Lit Fest – A Literary Jollification (May)

A more intimate cultural event that brings together writers, poets, and readers from the Caribbean and beyond. Hosted at luxurious venues like the Aurora Anguilla Resort, it’s perfect for travelers who enjoy thought-provoking discussions in a beautiful setting.

  • Anguilla Regatta - (May)

The 3-day Anguilla Regatta pays tribute to traditional sailing and the island’s national sport: boat racing. Started in 2002 the Anguilla Regatta home grown, relaxed atmosphere harkens back to an era when regattas revolved around friendly competition, sailing comradery and just plain fun. All proceeds from the Regatta fund the Anguilla Sailing Association, whose central purpose is to teach sailing to the young boys and girls of Anguilla
