The COVID-19 Pandemic has placed us in a position where we need to make decisions in order to put the safety of our clients and staff as our highest priority.

With this in mind we have come to the decision that it has become essential to temporarily close the doors to our retail branches and ensure the well being of our staff and clients.

In line with government advice on social distancing we have closed our doors to limit the amount of contact our staff and clients are exposed to. Our team are still available to answer your questions by email and can be reached by emailing

We will be contacting clients who currently have bookings and may be affected. We are working through these bookings in date order and will be in touch shortly.

We thank you for your understanding in us having to take such precautions. We hope you and your family stay well and look forward to seeing you all when we re-open the doors to our branches.

Best Wishes
From all at Prestbury Travel

One of the best snow records in the Alps

Use the drop-down menu below to explore Obertauern.

Obertauern has skiing from 1,740m to 2,526m and 100km of slopes served by 26 lifts and is the best snow guarantee in Salzburgerland with one of the longest ski seasons in the Alps! The resort's winter lasts until early May - with a high altitude, queue-free skiing, traditional Austrian après-ski and ski-in/ski-out hotels, Obertauern is a real treasure in the Salzburg ski region, deservedly gaining in popularity with British guests.

Shrouded by the spectacular peaks of the RadstädterTauern, the ski circus is great for mixed ability groups and suitable for all levels. Après-ski is fantastic with many huts spread across the mountain and even more so at the bottom of the slopes. Skiing back to your hotel is available for most hotels in the resort plus there’s a well-linked circuit, almost entirely above the treeline on both sides of the Tauern pass valley.

The nearby Mautendorf ski area offers a further 50km of piste and 10 more lifts available to Obertauern lift pass holders plus a free 20-minute bus ride connects the two resorts.
