Use the drop-down menu below to explore Hurghada.
Hurghada sits nestled along 40 kilometres of beautiful Egyptian coastline, and is best known for its world-class scuba diving. With its magnificent setting on the Red Sea Coast, it’s not surprising that Hurghada, formerly a quiet fishing village, has developed into one of Egypt’s largest cities and busiest tourist centres. The Red Sea’s warm, tranquil waters and abundant coral gardens are a diving and snorkelling mecca, teeming with vividly coloured marine life, while windsurfing and yachting are also popular oceanic pursuits. The city is served by an international airport and has an extensive range of hotel accommodation as well as a thriving nightlife.
July is the hottest month in Hurghada with an average temperature of 30°C (86°F) and the coldest is January at 16°C (61°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 13 in August. The wettest month is November with an average of 2mm of rain.
You can fly directly to Hurghada Airport from the UK with a choice of scheduled and charter flights.
