COVID-19

The COVID-19 Pandemic has placed us in a position where we need to make decisions in order to put the safety of our clients and staff as our highest priority.

With this in mind we have come to the decision that it has become essential to temporarily close the doors to our retail branches and ensure the well being of our staff and clients.

In line with government advice on social distancing we have closed our doors to limit the amount of contact our staff and clients are exposed to. Our team are still available to answer your questions by email and can be reached by emailing enquiry@prestburytravel.co.uk.

We will be contacting clients who currently have bookings and may be affected. We are working through these bookings in date order and will be in touch shortly.

We thank you for your understanding in us having to take such precautions. We hope you and your family stay well and look forward to seeing you all when we re-open the doors to our branches.

Best Wishes

          Bardonecchia

Traditional Italian hospitality with great beginner and intermediate skiing

Use the drop-down menu below to explore Bardonecchia.

On the border between France and Italy is the small resort of Bardonecchia, making it Italy’s westernmost town at the heart of the Alps. It hosted the Turin Winter Olympics snowboarding competitions in 2006 and still includes many features from the one-time-only event.

Made up of 3 areas- Melezet, Campo Smith and Jafferau, there is over 100km of piste to explore in the area, all linked by free buses. The pistes in the area are a close mix of easy cruising blue runs and more challenging red runs. The resort is relatively uncongested and quiet, so it is easy to enjoy your time on the snow uninterrupted.

There are only 5 black runs throughout the entire resort, but this is compensated for with an outstanding freestyle terrain park located on Melezets which includes 80 rails and jibs, 20 jumps plus the famous Olympic halfpipe from 2006! The park is suited to all abilities, regardless of their freestyle experience, so take the opportunity to either ski past or through the park itself.

Off-piste, one of Bardonecchia's highlights is the excellent array of restaurants that serve delicious Italian cuisine and for a small resort, there is a huge amount of venues available. Attracting smaller crowds who want to socialise and take it easy, is the après-ski culture. However, if you wish to dance in your ski boots and enjoy some classic live music, then Chesal Bar and Restaurant located at the top of Melezet-Chesal chair lift hosts 'Crazy Chesal' après-ski from 14:30 onwards.

We sell a wide range of holidays to Italy so why not pop into one of our branches or, call us on 01625 855855 as we'd be delighted to help you.
