Located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, the island of Fuerteventura is without doubt one of the most beautiful of the Canary Islands, with a relatively  diverse landscape, although Fuerteventura is also the least densely populated, retaining much of its true character.  Loosely translated as "Strong Winds", Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands (641 sq miles).

There’s a well-developed infrastructure with Golf Courses, a Zoo, a Water Park and numerous Marine Excursions. For those who prefer more active holidays, the Island offers great Surfing, Windsurfing and Kite Surfing as well as Big Game Fishing and Diving.  The main tourist resorts lie at opposite ends of the island. At the northern tip is Corralejo, loved by the British while deep down south lies Morro Jable, more staid than its northern counterpart Corralejo, and very popular with the German tourists. Its beach is the main attraction, with pale golden sand stretching for around 4 km from the older part of town.
