Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa is a wonderfully relaxed and simple resort, perfect for families and couples with the added benefit of being within walking distance to the village of Grand-Baie, providing guests with a choice of restaurants, bars and boutiques close by.
The hotel has four categories of rooms which are suitable for couples, families or friends travelling as a group. The quality of the property is reflected in the bright, contemporary interiors and furnishings which are casually welcoming with soft calm shades that are offset by splashes of vibrant colours.
There are two large infinity pools at Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa, and the hotel restaurants and bar are built around the pools overlooking a fantastic view of the beach and bay. In the evening wherever you chose to sit you will be able to enjoy the hotels live entertainment. There is a wealth of activities at the hotel and you can chose to be as active or relaxed as you wish. Sporting activities range from tennis to volley ball to water sports such as water skiing and sailing. There is also a wonderful wellness centre, offering the perfect environment to escape it all.

All 237 rooms and suites are well furnished and feature the following amenities: Individually controlled air-conditioning - Mini-bar - Safe - Hair-dryer - telephone - Television (satellite channels, music).
The standard rooms are located on the first or second floor and offer one-bedroom accommodation with an en suite bathroom. All of the Standard Rooms are sea facing and have a large bay window opening onto a private terrace or balcony. Sleeps 2 adults and 1 infant.
The Superior Rooms are located on the ground level. They have one bedroom and an ensuite bathroom which is equipped with a bath and shower. The shaded terrace opens onto a small private garden that leads to the beach only a short stroll away. Sleeps 3 adults and 2 adults and 1 child.
The Family Apartments are either built in a self-contained village or are located in the tropical gardens. They are an ideal option for families or a group of friends offering extra space. Each apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which has both a bath and shower. Some apartments have a terrace that opens onto a private garden - the perfect place to relax in privacy. Sleeps up to 5 guests with a maximum of 4 adults.
Those looking for something unique and different can book the resort’s loft which includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is furnished with dark woods and white linens offering a relaxing haven. Sleeps up to 5 guests with a maximum of 4 adults.
The rooftop Honeymoon Suites have superior views over the bay and are equipped with a private pool and outdoor shower, they offer the ultimate in privacy and exclusivity. Sleeps 2 adults only.
The Villa, situated in the property’s gardens, offers two bedrooms with a Master Bedroom and a second bedroom with 2 double beds. The Master bedroom’s bathroom has a bath, shower and separate toilet while the second bedroom’s bathroom has a shower and separate toilet. There is a living room with an LCD tv, a terrace, a garden and a private pool. Sleeps up to 5 guests with a maximum of 4 adults.
Les Quais
This is Le Mauricia’s main restaurant set amidst wooden decks that run the length of the slate swimming pool. The décor is reminiscent of a marina wharf, cooking stations are shaped like boat hulls and a unique feature is a stainless steel bridge that spans over the buffet areas. Behind the live cooking stations there is floor-to-ceiling glass, which you can view the kitchen through. Antiques collected from the local seaports, add the final touches.
Le Nautic
This restaurant will appeal to those looking for a more intimate dining atmosphere. The teak furniture and maritime theme fit so well with the location of this elegant, spilt-level, sea-facing restaurant. Dine on the freshest fish and seafood with views towards the setting sun.
Bay Watch Bar
Central to the resort is the Bay Watch Bar overlooking the sea and both swimming pools. A contemporary mix of traditional and modern, the bar features attractive Mediterranean-style pergolas. You can either relax with your feet in the sand or choose the stylish “lounge” area equipped with comfy couches. Bay Watch Bar serves light snacks throughout the day.
Beachcomber Dine Around
Guests staying at any Beachcomber property in Mauritius, excluding Shandrani, can take advantage of a new “interchange dining policy” that applies to Royal Palm, Trou aux Biches, Dinarobin, Paradis, Le Victoria, Le Mauricia or Le Canonnier. Guests should book restaurants at other hotels, during their stay, via the Concierge. Bookings will be subject to availability and any applicable supplements are to be paid locally, in resort.
Children are welcome year round at the Le Mauricia and are very well catered for at the Mini Club which accepts children aged 3 – 12 years and is complimentary to all the hotel’s guests. Each day there is a planned itinerary of fun activities.
A babysitting service is also available at the hotel at a minimum cost. 24 hours notice is however required to secure the babysitter.
Weddings
Le Mauricia is a beautiful location to choose to get married. The hotel offers wedding coordinators who will help you organise everything required for the special day.
