The COVID-19 Pandemic has placed us in a position where we need to make decisions in order to put the safety of our clients and staff as our highest priority.

With this in mind we have come to the decision that it has become essential to temporarily close the doors to our retail branches and ensure the well being of our staff and clients.

In line with government advice on social distancing we have closed our doors to limit the amount of contact our staff and clients are exposed to. Our team are still available to answer your questions by email and can be reached by emailing

We will be contacting clients who currently have bookings and may be affected. We are working through these bookings in date order and will be in touch shortly.

We thank you for your understanding in us having to take such precautions. We hope you and your family stay well and look forward to seeing you all when we re-open the doors to our branches.

Best Wishes
From all at Prestbury Travel

The vibrant town of Banff is located in the spectacular Banff National Park. For anyone seeking traditional Canadian hospitality then a visit to Downtown Banff is a must with its array of bars, live music and wide choice of restaurants that cater for all tastes and budgets.

A Tri-area lift pass is for many a popular choice and covers the three ski areas of Lake Louise ski (45 minutes’ drive), Mount Norquay (10 minutes’ drive) and Sunshine Village (25 minutes’ drive). There is also a frequent ski bus service, included with a pre-booked Tri-area lift pass, which operates from a good selection of the Banff hotels to all three ski areas. Although Mt Norquay is often referred to as Banff’s “local” hill, the resort should not be under-rated.

There is a good mix of easy trails as well as some more challenging ones which include; Memorial Bowl, Temptation and Lone Pine. Sunshine Village has some of the highest skiing in Canada. It has three mountains: Mount Standish, Lookout Mountain (high above the tree line with views across the Great Divide) and Goat’s Eye (with some of the best tree skiing on its lower slopes).

July is the hottest month in Banff with an average temperature of 15.5°C (60°F) and the coldest is January at -11°C (12°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 8 in July. The wettest month is June with an average of 60mm of rain.

Most visitors to Banff fly to either Amsterdam or Frankfurt before taking the transatlantic flight into Banff International Airport.
