Sail Away on a Uniworld River Cruise

I was lucky enough to experience one of Uniworld’s luxury boutique River Cruises in Paris. We sailed on Joie de Vivre, which was full of the joys of 1920s Paris chic with everything from the decor to the cuisine all representative of everything that is Parisian. This is unique to Uniworld as all their River Cruise ships are distinctive of each destination’s style and character, including typically French cuisine, featuring frog legs and escargot, but for the less adventurous there are more traditional cuisines available!  On board, Uniworld offers excellent service, impeccable food, charming décor and immersive tour experiences. A real highlight was sailing into Paris at nighttime and seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up in all its glory. If you like the fact that this is all included in your river cruise price, then I’d say a Uniworld River Cruise is the one for you!

I sailed on the SS Bon Voyage on the Brilliant Bordeaux cruise. This cruise is a dream for wine and art lovers. We leisurely sailed along the Dordogne, Garonne & Gironde and visited the summer home of Toulouse Lautrec and many vineyards. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tastings at the vineyards and marvelled at the genius of the work of Toulouse Lautrec.  A particular highlight was the Champagne Saber performed on the top deck as we headed back towards Bordeaux, it’s amazing how people have such steady hands! I can’t wait to sail with Uniworld again.
